“Paul McCartney’s Dream”……this is made from Ebony and Ivory. I got lucky and came across a chunk of Ebony wood that wasn’t exactly cheap, but just inexpensive enough to be too tempting to pass up. The pre-ban elephant ivory lid is turned from a vintage Japanese manju (rice cake) netsuke.
